[edit] The Sims 2 Cheats Basics

Cheats will often be presented like this: BoolProp TestingCheatsEnabled True/False Or it may be written as BoolProp TestingCheatsEnabled (True/False), or sometimes simply (t/f).

The True/False simply means that you EITHER type True OR False after the rest of the line, to either turn the cheat on or off. You do NOT type the parenthesis. If it says t/f, you still need to type out the word 'true' or 'false' in its entirety or the cheat will not work.

Sometimes you will see a list of options: For example: changeLotZoning [residential | community | greek | dorm | secretsociety] You type ONE of those choices. You do NOT type the brackets or the '|' dividers. For example you would enter: changeLotZoning residential to select residential. This works the same way if the choice is true|false or on|off.

Capitalization DOES NOT matter. Some people will claim it only works if they type it this way or that way, but it's simply not true. It's written this way merely to make it easier to read. You can type it in all lowercase or all uppercase and it will not affect how it behaves in game.
