#21 - Secret Lives Series - RusteyGuy
The Secret Lives series tells the story of a young gay man making his
way through high school, and all the highs and lows that entails. Sometimes
touching, sometimes lighthearted, and even heartbreaking, this series
is guaranteed to make the harshest critic stop a moment and think. Never
preachy, Rusteyguy has gently led his viewers down a path that weaves
and winds, and the greatest mark of his success is the constant clamoring
for more while he finished the series with weeks of gaps between episodes.
By the final chapter, he has each one of us in the palm of his hands,
and no one could watch it and not be touched by the tender sincerety of
his carefully crafted tale. (chosen by and commentary by Nova)
#20 - Pressure - Tracechops
What an amazing video this is! From the very opening scene with the fantastic
set design and the introduction to the main character with his suspicious
scar on his head you can’t help but be drawn into the story right away.
Another director who pays careful attention to even the smallest detail
and carefully plotted out the storyline. The night shots of the dark pathway
where we get into the heart of the story gives a the viewer that eerie
feeling that something big is about to happen. This movie still ranks
as one my favorite Sims2 movies ever. Watch it for yourself for the twisted
ending! (chosen by and commentary by Witchery)
#19 - The Chronicles Of Sigh - Amanda3162
This is a promising series started by Amanda3162 and is based off a series of short stories written by the her as well. Two technical things about this movie stand out right away, its clever and realistic dialogue, and excellent voiceovers as well as voice acting. This series is unique in how it tells the story of a woman and her best friend Sigh, a patio swing. One of the things that interest me in this story is how the friendship with Sigh is woven into the womans life, taking on its own persona with a voice and sim form. This is a must-not-miss series. #18 - Reasons Why - Iksu17
This is a fantastic movie that at first glance may look like an average movie, but soon
blows you away. Iksu17 opens the movie with the fairly simple concept of a woman reviewing her life up to that point but portrays it in an entirely unique and original way. There are a number of special effects used throughout this video to help move the story along, but Iksu17 pulls them off in an understated manner and manages to create a story that gently flows throughout the entire movie. This is a beautiful piece of work. (chosen by and commentary by Carisa)
#17 - SIMS of Gray - AmandaJ3162
While I love Amanda’s other movies, surprisingly this is my favorite one by her. This movie made me laugh so hard when I first watched it, that I had to watch it again because I think I missed half of it from laughing too much. This was the 1st "crossover" type movie I ever watched featuring The Sims2. I think it was clever to start off with the real life version of the people then switch over to Sims. The fact that the sims look so much like their true human counterparts definitely does not go unnoticed. The woman screaming and cursing is one of the funniest parts of the whole movie and the "lipsynching" is superbly done. Yes, the humor includes plenty of cursing and screaming but that is just half of what makes it so funny. When you see Sims yelling and cursing at each other, the comedic value is in knowing that’s not what Sims were ever meant to do in game play. (chosen by and commentary by Witchery)
