Very good, I really like it. You really pull it off nicely with the limitation in the game. Your set is very realistic, scary place - i don't think i ever want to set foot on that place lol.

and i really like how you add the comic version at the end, it really helps explaining the story a little bit more, and the ending is totally unexpected, i thought the good guy will win but it turns out different. great twist!

Fantastic job. Wish it a little bit longer though.

The sets were great! I loved the way they looked they looked very realistic!

I liked the comic strip at the end, because it did clarify some of the story.

I thought the editing was done very well! I didnt think all of that could be done with the Sims!

I wish it was a little bit longer, but maybe that is because I was drawn into it.

I was a little confused at first, because I thought maybe she was jealous. I kind of wish I knew a little more about why they were enemies...and what the revenge was all about, Unless I missed something..I didnt get that.

But overall I really loved it!
I think it showed great creativity and talent!

Oooh, I really liked this Warhawke!

Loved the animations, they were so... realistic, if you consider that this is The sims 2.

I would like to say that you have good editing skills.. I have no idea how you do that chroma key stuff, lol.. it has never worked out well for me, ah.

I noticed something I liked really much, that her hair was blowing! That was so cool. I've always wanted the sims' hair to blow, it looks more cool and realistic.

I liked the sets too - it was really great, looked real and the places didn't look empty at all.

There was nothing I didn't like.. oh well, I think it was a bit too short, not because it was really cool and exciting, but it really was a bit short.. I would like to see more!

You always bring something cool and different, Hawkie! I have really high expectations for your next movie.. just so you know. But I bet you'll come up with something even more brilliant ;)

Obviously, I'll give you 5 stars.

WOW!!! hawkey, I am blown away. That was amazing. Everything was beautifully executed. Your sets, lighting, camera movements and angle, your effects, animations, your simmies. Once again you have blown me away and left me speechless.

Bravo! Bravo!... Awesome piece of groundbreaking machinima Hawkey!.. Very creative use of your anim boxes and the idea to use overlays and greenscreening to animate them a little was brilliant!

I have to give you 10 out of 10 for your set, it was absolutely superb.. the perfect urban back alley and nice cameo by Mister Vampy himself. :)

I love the shot at 0.44 where you have Blake and the girl kissing and you blur them and bring Illyria into focus up there on top of the building... Awesome shot!
I also like the costuming for the girlfriend. The fact that you chose white, emphasised that she was the only true innocent present.

That animated hair was fantastic... I've always wanted my sims hair to blow in the wind and you figured out a way to do it!

All of your simmies are beautiful as usual but Illyria is especially so.. the shot at 0.52 showing half her face and hair is just beautiful.. great custom eyes you have there.

When the violence starts I love the shaking and blurring effects you do... they really emphasis the drama of the moment that Blake turns. You made excellent animation choices during the fight scences and your timing and editing of them was spot on.

Your greenscreening of things that aren't possible just with anims and clever angles was great. I absolutely loved the barrel throwing. What anim did you use there??

The gun kick was really well done, but I do think the scene of Illyria on one knee with guns in hand needed a little something to animate it or to be shorter... it just seemed a tad to long with no sim movement, even though the camera was moving... I'm only mentioning this because this is a smw review as it is very minor.. plus I've got to give you something to try and improve on, otherwise this just turns into a gush fest lol.

The throw at 2.10 was amazing... so well greenscreened it's almost impossible to tell it was (except for the fact that we all know it's not actually possible without it..lol)

Just awesome work Hawkey!.. You always break new ground with everything you do... that why I love watching your movies so much!

Another great installment, Hawkie!
The actions and poses were fantastic and creative. I especially liked the little 'wind hair' effect on Illyria.
Also great camera angles, the way Blake turned evil really looked scary haha!
Technically I won't go through all the jazz, it's pretty much as what Rupertcanada said. It was groundbreaking :D.

I do have an objection...and maybe an important one. Storywise....I didn't really like it storywise.. While watching it, I missed a bit of a 'heart'. It felt like a standard story of someone being evil and another one taking revenge....as I did I watched the movie first and then read the comic...but maybe that wasn't a good idea for me because I didn't know what it was about except it having blake. Even after reading the comic...I felt there were no real character driven moments and the way Blake behaved aswell as Illyria just seemed...unmotified. Ofcourse after I read the comic, it was better explained...but still it didn't feel driven engouh. The story was weak in my opinion.
In the movie itself it for example might have been better if you showed alittle bit of memories of Illyria to explain why she's having revenge. Now Illyria seemed like a complete and utter idiot. And what about Blake? And what is the Black Fog? Blake was rather Scooby Doo because of that. He could've done a Mwoohaha and a 'doctor Evil sign'. I just can't believe it's just some fog.
Take more example from your older 'Hello', maybe. There you told a story more clearly with flashbacks.

Lol. I might seem harsh here, but I'm really a devil when it comes to stories and I decided to be honest with you. Ofcourse I also have really high standards when it comes to a Blake lol.

Think that storyline out more for the next time! Technically you're rocking, hun.

First of all, top trumps for breaking the game's limitations. I can see effort went into this. Did you make the poses or was it other people's? Not quite sure, either way, really well executed and the comic strip at the end was cool. The whole film reminded me of Sin City.

Personally I would of spent longer on lighting, different colours to make it artisticly brilliant. For example, if you don't know how to change the lighting.txt, using color correctors in Vegas. They help alot to get that midtone you're trying to acheive. I try to mainatin that in every single clip in my movies. Also, only a few gripes that got me was the camera angle choice, I could tell you prefered stiller shots, because I thought they were'nt short eneough! With films like this, like 1-2 second shots are vital and create such an interesting effect. The chroma-keying was good but not excellent, try to work harder with the low and high thresholds, sometimes even the blur amount can add a very cool effect.

The only reason I am saying these things is, I know what you're capable of, and I want to see even better from you. I can see you are a perfectionist and you need develop that.

4 stars, but to me 4 stars is fantastic, not 'good' and 5 stars is perfect.

Trendy

One of the amazing Sims 2 machinima that defy the game's limitation.

It's a really wonderful movie and what is great about this is how you made things impossible possible. What I love about the movie is the hair animation, I don't know how you pull that but it's great.

You're very good at chroma keying where in I can't notice which were chroma keyed and which were not.

Your sims are very beautiful, specially the lead girl, I forgot her name... lol

The fight sims are very cool, it's hard to make an action packed scene but then again I don't know how you pull it and it's really cool. The blurring effects were great too. Violent! I like it!

My favorite part is when the lead girl jumps off and landed kneeling and your camera angle is slowly rotating, it reminds me of Kate Beckinsale in underworld.

The comic strip in the credits we're also good too. And the strip that comes with it also.

I agree with everyone that is very short, everything seems fast and then I never realize it's almost over.

There is really not much story in the movie alone, but you already warn us with that, and everything becomes clear with the help of the comic strips.

Great action packed movie.

This really did not seem like a Sims 2 movie, but a rendering from a game editor. Very good job on this film, I enjoyed it and I'm sure many others did as well.

Your lighting was effectively dark without making the scene difficult to distinguish. The blowing hair was also a nice touch, it makes the scene somehow frigid and windy (in addition to showcasing your editing skills). It also adds to the storyline a sense of impeding trouble. The set was well-composed and looked like a convincing street alley. I like that you used neighborhood deco (the building) as opposed to a lot, as lots have a tendency to degrade when viewed from a distance. Your camera angles were chosen well and added depth to the scene. I especially enjoyed the angle of the girl perched above the two lovers. The comic at the end was a great touch both style-wise and story-wise. Overall, great action film.

I understand you can not create custom animations, so the idea of using chroma-keying was very creative. However, your chroma-keying is great but not perfect. I did not notice any other aspects of the film worth mentioning. You are a good director, after all...

To me 3 stars is good, 4 stars is phenomenal, and 5 stars is 110 perfect

What a thrilling and visually amazing vignette you have here. I'll say right now there's not a lot for me to pick on here Warhawke (how unusual ), I just wished it was a little more 'fleshed out' as I loved it and wanted to know more about the story. But creating a feature lenght of this calibre would probably take a decade

You are so talented at making stunning and unique sims and sets. The poor girl Blake tried to get friendly with was stunning. Illyria (?spelling) is beautiful, nice makeup and had great costuming too. Blake is Blake and I just loved that vampire where'd ya get him from ?! Your sets were just amazing to look at, in fact the third time I watched that's all I paid attention to just to take it all in. You did a fantastic job of creating a gruesome alleyway replete with rubbish, stray dogs, an old car and even a fire! The surrounding buildings and various gates and fences were all well placed and gave more depth to the set, making it seem more real.

I loved the narrative at the start. Rupertcanada did a fantastic job with those lines - especially the line about 'pure vengeance' she handled that so effectively and it really set the scene for what was to come. Great use of music thoughout yet again - you have such a talent for using music that suits the story. I do wonder if it would have been even richer with some added sound effects during the narrative - the growling of the dogs, a bit of the fire, city sounds in the background. But this is a minor thing that may or may not have worked.

Most of all I think this film really showed off your mastery in editing and filming - those special effects were amazing! But it wasn't over done. I loved the camera movements you included - the panning away from Illyria's face set up the intrigue nicely. Which was enhanced further with the couple kissing in the foreground then the background focus to reveal Illyria watching from above - this is one of the best shots I've seen - so intriguing! You also framed your shots very carefully, sometimes only revealing parts of characters like their feet, hands or backs. Some great close-ups of faces too, to reveal the character's expressions. What most obviously had me in awe (and I'm sure everyone else too) was your action sequences - this would have to be the best greenscreening I have seen - it was so effectively done! I loved watching their various jumps, kicks, punches and falls. One of my favourite parts was when Illyria threw that drum at Blake - that looked amazing. If I were to be really picky I'd suggest that some of the movements could have been a little quicker, but the reality is this is far better than most greenscreening action I have seen and you have overcome so many of the limitations of the game. Another small detail I noticed, with awe, was the way you had Illyria's hair waving in the breeze - please write a tutorial on this now missy!

So to the story. I was really intrigued by it, obviously it was just a snap shot of a larger story - but I would have liked to have seen more (as I said at the start), however I understand the magnitude of making such a full lenght story in this style. Nevertheless, you conveyed the story clearly, although I was a bit peeved that Illyria died, I wanted her to get that little 3! Blake The only thing that really didn't sit right was why that girl would wind up in a dodge looking alley with that dodge Blake, making out. But you have probably described those reasons more fully in your comic. I really liked the little comic strip speech bubbles you added at the end - these helped to clarify the story a little more and looked good too

well done Hawkey! another bloody masterpiece! How many masterpieces can one person do?!

How do you review a video when your speechless! well you start typing
your command of your editor is astounding! I've impressed with the detail that you put into everything and I find myself in awe! you have inspired me to be more (think outside the box) and I thank you for that! Your green-screen technique very impressive using it to add depth by bringing it in and out of focus! making the ground shake ( I suspect you did this by setting the points close together with very subtle movements) throwing the barrel, throwing the girl, jumping off buildings on and on and on. I liked the comic book ending too! The only thing I like was I wanted her to kick his ass in the end!

you never cease to amaze me woman. that voice over was intense!

the music moved the story along wonderfully, and the screen shaking was a very niace touch. Your green screening was amazing- I'm in freaking AWE right now. My mind has been blown several times over. And damn, your sets! -drool-
Everything was visually pleasing and made for a reason.

I can't really think of any constructive criticisms. I think you've perfected your machinima form
