Director's Description: Ok... I know I haven't been around for a while. At least now you know why. I've been messing around with this for months and it's finally at an acceptable level for the viewing public (plus my trial of sony vegas has expired so I can't tamper with it anymore anyway. Speaking of sony vegas, when it first rendered it was 3GB, so I know 161MB sounds like a lot to buffer, but compared to what it was before it's not that bad.

Oh yeah that one was alot better and without the subtitles, it abrubtly ended without credits don't know if it was the download or not, but the movie was Awsome, love the storm effects too, I would like to see a series made out of something like this, where it takes time for the mystery to unfold sort of thing, that was really good work, I think you could go on with this actually there is alot left that could be told. Really it had me intriqued the whole time and love your music choices with the moods awsome stuff.

That was good. I was confused at first but you cleared it up really well and when everything came to a head, it all made perfect sense, especially the last diary entry. Cleared up everything. Great job.

There's some good stuff going on here, and I think overall it really is quite fantastic. I love the epic emotions of the characters, and the way they are presented with their grief and feelings throughout the storyline. I particurlary found the dramatic strike of lighting a really influential point of the movie, and you did a really great job there, as well as the mum's emotions following that. Keep up with the good work, as I know your films are renound for!

Okay, you most certainly improved since the first version was released and you definitely did a great job on this one, but still i have some... remarks.. and yes, i know you gonna hate me for that :P
1st thing is probably the cam angles.. like don't get me wrong.. all the time you were pretty much on the point.. some of them were just perfect (and there was lots of those). But what i think is that the default livecam presets kinda ruined the whole thing for you. like each time you go to the cameraman mode try zooming in till it stops.. it narrows the field of vision and you'll get a nice movie camera 'effect' (vs the security cam effect..) .. basically you can just decrease fov value in livecam.txt. I don't say you should always film with this preset.. i say experiment. but when it comes to filming stuff like say ppl talking, the best option is to set it to around 25 degrees. other thing is the framing. well there were a couple of shots like for example when the guy came up to the girl at the beginning..you couldn't see their faces.. so i think you should pay more attention to stuff like this and finally the third thing is the cam orientation.. say when you film sims sitting you always filming them from the top, so it doesn't really feel like the main emphasis is on their face and emotions.. so the try putting the cam right in front of them.. so that's it as for the cam work..i mean it was great on its own... just i think these things would've made it even better.
what i liked about it is that you tried to change things around... so it wasn't boring to watch cuz i still didn't know how the movie would end. i loved how you did the kite scene, and just the way you used invisible sims doing stuff and i esp enjoyed the cam moves in that one..
the cc was great, loved the sims makeovers.. what i think you should've done is make a recolor of the diary book.. because basically it looked like an ordinary book and there was just one brief shot of Andrea writing in there..
as for the timing..i think you did a good job.. cause i never got a feeling about scenes dragging for too long.. or i'm getting more accustomed to your style maybe? :P
and well the misc sims stuff you ask not to mention lol like sim redressing..you know that spin didn't look too realistic or say no neighboring houses around the lot.. i know it must be your computer.. but like you still can try doing some greenscreening in vegas..
As for the storyline.. i mean it's hard to evaluate the whole thing, because i knew the story behind the first one.. and as i noticed, you got rid of some elements and added some new ones.. so it's hard for me to tell if i would've understood everything if i never watched the first version and read some of your explanations.. like the ending was tad confusing.. it seemed like they were talking about sth important.. and it was kinda irritating (at least for me) that i couldn't hear or read what it was..(like whatever they say about subtitles i still think they are not that horrible.. some ppl are too lazy to read but that's the other thing) Also did she fall into the pit because he pushed her or the lighting struck her? I guess it's the latter but what relation did the guy have to it all then? like his role in the scene wasn't as significant as it was supposed to be i think. (or i didn't get sth)..
It kinda surprised me you made the very ending in a form of a twist.. i mean it's great, cuz it makes you want to go back and think about the storyline again. but as it was a remake and many ppl saw it already.. you know the twist probably didn't work as well as for sb who never seen it before.
so well i think you should work a bit on improving the cinematography.. the rest basically those were really small details but you know i just had to let it out.. 5 stars from me :)

I never had the opportunity to see the first version of this film so everything was new to me. I admit that I was a bit lost at first until the ending where everything came together in a fantastic twist. Kudos to you for bringing it all together. I was really impressed with your transitions between songs (especially excited to hear 'Like Cockatoos' )
I liked some of your camera work in this piece, some of the turns of the camera were quite nice and the sequence where the main character has a 'visitor' in her room was edited brilliantly. The kite scene stood out to me as well.
Overall I enjoyed this piece, and now that I fully understand it would like to go back and watch the details I may have missed.

I never got to see the original, but I can see from your other movies that I have watched, you have definitely improved your storytelling and the way in which you bring the movie together.
Like Jaydee mentioned, I thought the camera angles brought the overall quality of this movie down. I thought they were too basic and lacked style. I feel your movie could have been a lot better if only the camera angles were more advanced to grab the viewers attention even more. Although, certain camera angles were good, particularly the scene when she was in bed. I thought it fitted in perfect with the music. Another good camera angle was the scene where she was electrocuted. You got the angle perfect.
The music that you used for your movie was excellent, however I felt that you didn't end certain songs well. They just seemed to stop and I think that grabbed my attention more than the actual movie. Try to fade out the music slower instead of rushing into the next song.
The CC you used was good but in the scene where the blonde woman got out of bed, the Sim walked through the object hanging from the ceiling. The same happened when the Sim walked through the bookcase, but thats more to do with the actual object rather than the position or timing.
Overall I thought you did a very good job. This movie has got great potential to become something more, and by improving the camera angles and certain aspects of editing and filming, you could turn this into something a lot greater. You have definitely improved the way in which you tell your stories and this movie was by far your best.

Oh man, I'm in LOVE with your score! You chose the perfect music for nearly every moment. And I love all the camera rotation. You've got a fantastic sense of direction and scene staging.
All technical stuff aside, I was throughly creeped out by the entire movie! Bonus!

Very nice job! Ok lets get down to bussiness.
Sets- The sets were well done apart from the neighbourhood looked bare without any houses.
CC's- The CC's were good, they matched with the scenes really well.
Camera angles- You had some really good camera angles and than there were some ones that weren't that good. For exmaple the rotating shots made me alittle dizy.
Editing- The storm part was perfect, it looked totally realistic.
Emotion- The emotions of the sims were spot on.
Music- I loved the music. It had an errie feel to it which matched up well with the movie.
Tech errors- In some parts of the film I noticed that the main characters hair was going through her body. Its not really your fault that this happened but maybe if you used different camera angles it could be covered up.
Overall this film is 5 star effort. I really can see this film winning best movie of December.

this was an amazing movie, I liked the way it was all sorta creepy and strange, and it kept you in suspense, I also loved the thunderstorm effects, I havent seen much of that on sim movies, so that was a good one, and I loved the ending, also a great choice in music (I love evanescence lol) and I enjoyed your sets and camera movements quite a bit, it was very well done, 5 stars

Let me start off by saying congratulations on making a top-notch movie. I can see that you have put a lot of effort into this and have tried very hard to make it perfect. I loved the special scenes like the graveyard and the lightning bolt. I thought the idea of the bookcase opening the door was great...just like the classics. I would work on adding more detail to the set like the interior, and also on camera angles(try to show more emotion on the sims faces) but otherwise great!

Wow, wow, WOW! The Diary of Angela Marvelo RETOLD is A LOT better than the original. The character, I realized, look a bit better then the originals. The eyes, hair, outfits, all kinda gave them more character. The ghost of the boy was better because he died in what he wore, unlike the first one, when his ghost was wearing a complete different outfit.
I really like your movies and you imagination, so keep on doing what you enjoy doing!
