For their first mission, the Arrows are thrust back into the hormonal corridors of high school, to bring together the quirky drama teacher, Rosa and straight-laced principal, Daniel.

Matchmaking is proving to be harder than they thought - and for Katerina, it's time to confront some ugly colours from her past...

And I thought the first episode was good! This was excellent! The filming, the animations, the custom content you chose, everything. The one thing that really shines here is the dialogue, it's very quick, witty and most importantly, professional. Another plus point was the very clever back story you added for your character, you implanted it behind the main High School storyline perfectly. The length was good, but others might not see it that way. I'm just saying through experience I guess. I was told my 20 minute movie was too long. However, when it is this professionally written and filmed you can't not make it that long. I enjoyed every minute of it and I'm glad your having fun making it too!
Keep up this great work!
P.S I could really see a Second Season to this show.

That was awesome. I loved this episode. I didn't realize the meaning of my character until now. It was amazing.

You have a really great gift on capturing the moment. Me, being a Sims director as well, know that it is hard to make someone laugh, or move them in a way, but your episode did both. I seriously laughed through most of it, and then in the parts that I was in, with Evan, it was really sad and meaningful. Not because it was me, but more because its so real. Things like that happen and it makes you feel horrible.

Anyway, AMAZING JOB! 5 stars. You definitly are getting my vote and I will be recommending your episode on my site for people to vote for your video for the month. E-mail me back, I wan to make sure you get this!!!!

Thanks for using me in this series,

This is a fantastic follow up to the first episode Serenity! As has already been said, I didn't think the first one could be bettered, but it certainly could!

Again, I feel your work is a tutorial in the art of good writing. I think that you can really see a development in the characters. What is most impressive in this regard is that your research and careful thought processes about who these people are and what makes them tick are really evident. And that makes the story even more powerful. I was giggling at points in the first episode, but there were a good few moments in this that genuinely made me laugh out loud! After reading the production notes on your website I really think it was the right decision to focus less on the story, and more on the characters. I don't think I took away from it at all, but established a deeper understanding and sense of empathy that will serves us well in the future!

What was also evident was the immense amount of planning that went into your sets. Every detail was spot on. Those sets were really wonderful.

If I have to wait another eight months for the next one... I will gladly do it!

This is an exemplar in good storytelling and I give you 5 stars! Fab work!

(and to finish on a sily note... I LOVE Aaron! :))

After watching this, I am completely inspired to do this again.

I loved it from beginning to end. The story flowed very well, and sometimes with movies involving flashbacks, the flashback portions tend to be choppy, but this was very fluid. You did an excellent job flashing back to Kat's high school life, and it was funny listening to Connor and Aaron make jokes about how she was socially awkward and trying to get back with the cheerleaders back then. That was funny.

It was long, but it really needed to be in order for you to make the relationship between Daniel and Rosa gradually improve. It was just the right amount of length, and the time it took into making it believable is very apparent.

I noticed in some places the voices tended to be a little louder in comparison to the others. I think it just has to do with all of our natural voices. Some are quiet, others are a little louder.

Your song choices were excellent, and your ending was brilliant. I honestly didn't know how you were going to fit everything in when I saw the script, so this was a very nice surprise! I can't wait for the third! :)

I've been waiting for this for so long, and I was not at all disapointed. Throughout the entire 22mins you kept me interested and wanting more.

Your camera work was overall very well done! You had some really creative angles. I loved the one through the fishtank! Now, you did have some camera movement, however I don't think you had enough. Most of the movie was still shots (which were great) but some more camera movements would've gave this just a little more 'Umph'.

Your sets were wonderfully done. Lots of detail and custom content to spice things up and make things look realistic. The same can be said about your sims! I loved all of your sims, they all looked so realistic and so beautiful. I loved Rosa's hair, it was just so bright and vivid. I loved her dress aswell, but it had some weird gold marks that went across her arm, and they kinda looked like bruises or something.

Now, I loved the way your portrayed sims emotions and behaviour. Everything just clicked and went smoothly. However, I do love the sarcastic eye roll, but just make sure you don't use it too much. I think you used it 4 times in this, which to me is just bordering on over-use. Your lip-syncing was great! And your script and Vo's rocked! They were funny and you could hear that each character had their own 'quirks'. Like, one's serious and one's assertive, and one's humble, etc.

The music and VO's were at perfect volume throughout the whole movie. I lauged myself stupid when the auditions were on and that was partly because of the music (aswell as what the sims were doing...lol). Like you had 'Can't Touch This' and then you had silence with some funny mime pretending to choke...LMAO!!!

This series is developing nicely! Can't wait to see what happens next. One more word of advice. Maybe you could end the next episode with a real cliff hanger or something. That would be cool...just a suggestion!

Great Job Serenity!

Great job Serenity!
Wow...where to start. A great episode with a lovely story. As I probably reviewed in the trailer I expected some characterdevelopment to come, especially from a writer like you ;). And there it was. I loved the flashbacks with Kat, it fitted perfectly to the way she was behaving. Also I LOVED the slight hints towards the other characters' past (like what is going on with Aaron?), so there's where you've made me excited already for a next part.
There were so many funny moments. The first scene already was great; I laughed out loud when Aaron was 'headbopping' on Witney Houston saying 'Hey, I WOVE this song!'. Cupid is charming as ever (Great new voice over!). Well. And after that there the humor didn't stop. The cats, the MCHammerguy (and his little comeback in the mirrorlol), the hoochieroutine (Connor and his satisfied look! ROFL!), the Al Green song, Kat saying cupid is an insult to ancient mythology....
Without being it humor overkill, you made the jokes sincere and fitting really nice with the dramatic moments. Great plot, lovely script!
Ofcourse being the second episode, it's still very much an 'independent story', which I definately expect for a lot eps to come (IF they come; please tell me there are MUCH more to come :)), so I don't need cliffhangers yet :P.
One slight thing with the storytelling technique. I noticed my voice over introduction with Rosa was great, but a slight improvement could be; introducing the scene by putting the voice overs just normal volume, until the shot where the arrows are and the fighting peeps in the background; then put the voice-overs of the characters in the background. Now you started with it being low volume; that gives an awkward effect.
Also some aesthetics could be improved; try to be a bit more playful with the visuals. Clashing shots with colors and crossing 180 lines with dramatic moments, compositions of shots, sometimes instead of using closeups of the ones talking, maybe try something else for a slight different impact. However, this show's power is the story and the script, you don't need beauty that much.....talking about beauty; Aaron; he sexy :P.
You should think about professionally writing scenarios; you could DEFINATELY be the next Nora Ephron.
(P.S. How come I'm always the catlady LOL? Don't worry, I'm a catlady in RL)

Firstly let me say Serenity, this was a fabulous follow up to your first episode. I like that this is truly episodic in that you seem to be going down the track of having a complete story in each episode with the main characters and their development being the link that ties them together.
I love Kat's jaded, hard on the outside (but I think, a big softie on the inside) personality. And I love that you are focusing on one arrow per episode (I assume) and delving into their past through what is occuring in the present.

The length was fantastic. Just like a real episodic sitcom and just as enthralling. No slow moments at all. It went by in a flash and was thoroughly entertaining!

I loved the opening scene with Cupid waking up the gaing with Whitney Houston (Haha I loved the 80's) The writing and direction of this scene captured your characters personalities within a few moments and well thought out actions and words.

The introduction to Rosa was nice too, looking into a snapshot of her life (loved the fade in of the cats, hilarious!) and then returning to the apartment via the television as if Cupid had showed a video to them.. Very creative and extremely well executed with the split screen in the tv. (No Idea how you did that by the way..hehe)

Like everyone else I loved MC Hammer dude.. haha!.. sooo funny!.. especially as before the music started he was all shy and then broke into his crazy routine.. hehe, he's got the music in him The whole auditions process was handled very well, I particularly like the bunny group, but I did think you had one to many dance routine auditions, it would have been better if you could have come up with something different for one of the auditions (because you have the hoochie girls, MC and the girl that wins in the end all dancing) like maybe a nerd reciting poetry or attempting stand up comedy (and bombing at it, hehe). But it's a very minor point. I did like how you switched between them and also interspersed the arrows and Rosa's reaction to the different routines. It broke it up and kept the story moving along nicely.

Looking back at Kat's high school years was a great way to delve into her character and the truth was quite unexpected given her current personality, you wouldn't have expected her to have been one of the 'popular girls'.

I have to mention your voice actors, they did a fantastic job. Very professional and realistic. I also loved you cc and set design and your simmies are all beautiful. But I think the best thing about this episode is the writing, its quick, witty and funny on the surface but there is a depth and poignancy underlying that. Particularly in the case of Kat (because we don't really know the other arrows yet). She is caustic, sarcastic and jaded on the surface but there is an underlying depth and sense of vunerability about her. And to me her story is sad, because of course, now she is dead and she obviously had unfinished business or regrets in her life. This was perfectly shown in the side story you had going with Kat matchmaking the teens. It's almost as if she was trying to give someone else what she had and lost. Of course she covered it over as making the numbers.. (yeah right!.. I'm on to her, hehe!) You can almost see the vunerability and regret in her eyes. Which is why I found the ending scene in the gym quite poignant. You can feel the regret. Great choice of music to portray that too, quite spiritual and yearning. I love that song from Rob Thomas and have wanted to use it in a sim movie myself.

All of this was very subtle because the boys were great comic relief and kept the episode from becoming too dramatic. Excellent writing!...

About interactions: I think for the most part you had them spot on but as mentioned by someone else I think the eye roll was used one too many times and also one of the talking interactions.. I don't know what it's called but its the one where the put there hand out palm up to express what they are saying. I think you used it too much... but I know there aren't alot of choices so I'm not sure there is much you can do about that when you have a lot of dialogue.... You could try not always shooting the sim from the front though, you could shoot from behind and have the perspective of the listening sim. Just to break it up a bit. Having said that, I think you did a stellar job at syncing the lips to the dialogue.

Over all fantastic episode Serenity. I hope you keep making them because I want to watch!

Finally......I review. (wink)

This was absolutely worth the wait. From the beginning, it had my attention and never let go.

Each character's personality was displayed so perfectly without actually having to say it. Aaron has to be my absolute favorite character, he's like that cornball friend that you can't help but love.

The talent show, which was the BEST part, I giggled through the whole thing. When the 'hot mommas' got on stage, you did a masterful job of showing Kats hater attitude.

I have to say that I LOVED Laroling's character. She voiced that so well that I started to imagine that she really looks like that. So I have to add to the review how great Laroling done, she really took voice overs to voice acting.

That doesn't take from anyone else. You had one of the best voice over crews.

Also, I love how Kat was one of the girls that she was hating now, when she was a teen. The cheerleading scene was executed perfectly. You hid her face and the second onlooker's face long enough to surprise us to find out which role she took, the snob or the underdog.

All in all Serenity, I found no issues with this episode, I think everything was executed perfectly and I cannot wait until 1.03.

Well! Where to start!

I loved this from beginning to end! Everything was executed perfectly, but what really stood out was the writing! That was so well done! The dialogues are witty and funny - there is still serious character development (Cat's flashback! Wonderfully executed!!!).

Everything combined, I really felt like I was watching something that could be a really succesful tv series! I think it really has that potential.

Further, I have to compliment each and every one of your voice actors! Also extraordinary: I could catch every phrase, there weren't phrases that were just mumbled away (which is a thing I experience often in sims movies)

This really is one of these gems you don't encounter that often!

I'll be eagerly waiting for episode 3!

I loved absolutely every aspect of this video, and could not find a thing to improve! Your camerawork, editing, sets, custom content (those eyes!), voice actors, script, EVERYTHING was so perfect!

I really enjoyed the first episode of this series and was eagerly
anticipating this episode and I must say...this was well worth the wait! The first episode was awesome but I think you really bring the series to a new level with this episode.
For starters the flashbacks....in even alot of commercial high budget films flashbacks tend to be poorly done or overdone, not good in general. But you have done what many can not. Your flashback scenes were incredible. I also love the added twist in Kat's character, but I will touch on
that more later. The fades in and out of the flashbacks were very smooth and natural looking. Which says alot for your talent and patience in editing.
As usual your camera work is
awesome, smooth, with just the right variety of shots.
Your story is so impeccably well-
written and thought out. We at Sims99 better watch out because there are many TV shows that aren't as well-written, a production company with some sense may come and steal you away from us!
Your character development is
wonderful. The characters have
divinely unique personalities all their own and are charming because of it.
The backstory for Kat in this episode shows us all how well thought out your characters are and the twist in her story makes her seem even more like a real person than she did before this
episode. (I especially love when Rosa thinks the fellow is gay because he's trying to hint to her about the principal. That was hysterical!)
The plotline makes sense and the scenes all move the story forward.
All of your voice actors did an excellent job. (There was one scene that one of the voices, Evan's I believe, was a little hard to hear but I could still make out what was being said.) And Laroling was a scream as Rosa!
Your sets were wonderfully detailed without being too cluttered and your use of custom content was right on as always! I especially loved the auditorium and Rosa's house.
All in all I adored this episode and can't wait to see the next. So far as suggestions for improvement I have none. I didn't see anything that could have been done any better than what you did!
Bravo on a job exceptionally well-done!

Ok, I have to admit that I watched this without watching the first episode (sorry!) and I was still totally engaged in the story and characters! I read in your profile that you like to write, and it shows. You have a fun story here, with great characters. That's what mattters most. Your really gave them so much debth, which you don't see a lot of in many movies (real or Sims) On top of that, you have great filming techniques and attention to detail. Five stars! I can't wait to see the rest.

EDIT: P.S. Do the voice actors in this movie want another gig? I need people for my upcoming movie!!! You all did such an AWESOME job! I forgot I was watching a Sim movie half the time! Bravo!

Let me tell you when I saw the run time is 22 minutes I was huh?! But watching it didn't feel that long and that itself is a mean feat!

It was a very enjoyable episode. Overall the editing was very nice. Scenes flowed perfectly and the music choices were spectacular. You chose the right facial expressions and animations. I love the eye roll!

I really love how you edit the part where Cupid was explaining their targets. Very well done. It really brought the viewers into the targets lives. I thought Rosa was perfectly cast. Her appearance and the voice acting (congrats Laroling!) were perfectly matched.

The audition part was hilarious! I love how you add the mime in between the acts. I thought both Kats and Connors reaction to the skimpily clad girls routine was very cute. My favorite part of the whole episode was the scene where Rosa thought Aaron was gay. Really love that part. So cute.

There was one part where I felt it looked a bit awkward. It was in the library when they were talking, then you went for a long shot before the scene ended. Because they were having conversation and was still conversing, but when you moved to long shot, their voice completely disappeared. I thought maybe better if you fade it out slowly.

I also love the part where Connor set up the principals office with candles. Very funny considering his history.

I thought your sets were nicely decorated. You filled it just enough to indicate the purpose of the location. Your sims were all very pretty, even the messed up Rosa!

Overall, very good job Serenity! Worth the wait.

Excellent job Serenity! I absolutely loved it. I like how you managed to capture the different distinctive attitudes of the characters. The characters were more defined in this episode.I am wondering about Evan.Where this part will go?
Your camera style was fluid.I love the sets too!
Your writing style was engaging.I didn't seem like more than 20 minutes. Anyway,it didn't matter. You had some very comical scenes and you managed to veer off to Katrina's past where as it seemed symmetrical to the present.Seems like Katrina wanted to right a wrong somehow. I liked also how you manage to capture the emotions which is difficult when filming a Sim.
I am definitely on the look out for the next episode. No pressure....hehe...

You are, quite simply, a natural comedy writer. Which means of course, that you can write anything. What is most significant to me, is that I found myself laughing out loud so many times. Even my family, who don't really have a lot of interest in sims films, well they were curious about what I was laughing about and they were laughing along too.

But, comedy is the hardest thing to write. You have set up the characters perfectly for 'funniness'. I love the tension between Kat and Connor; She is so scathing of him and he is so blissfully ignorant due to an inflated ego. My favourite character in this episode was the drama teacher (Rosa?), the voice-actor who played her was brilliant. I love that line 'his skull does appear to be paticularly thick' (or something like that) Hilarious! And the way she struts away from the principal when she is angry .

The secret high school experience of Kat is a nice and intriguing sub-plot that makes the story even more interesting. There is a moral sense to it as well that adds another level to the story, and it allows us to see that there is a deeper side to Kat. I have a feeling that you are going to give us this close-up insight with the other characters as well. It is a nice way to break-up and contrast the comedy, which works to make it funnier and more of a relief.

I also admired your wonderful filming techniques - great camera shots and angles, great sets, and I particularly liked your attention to dialogue synching with the sims' lips - nice attention there. But I guess I am most admiring of your storyline and character development - it's sooooo good!

I really can't criticise anything, I loved it, perfect .

There is not really much I can add the mass of comments here, but that was very good. Just finnished watching both in one hit. The lenght for me was not a problem, in fact sad to see it end, leaving me hungry for more.
This is one of the best I have seen for a long, long time. Filming, script, sets, everything done so well you forget this is sims. This way, way up there with AinD and the likes.
You get my vote for this month....
Can not wait for the next installment.

Haha. I remember i saw the first episode and think: wow! This war amazing! Now I saw the 2nd episode and what other can I say?: You should be very proud of your work, Serenity!

Your camera positions is nice. They are not comfusing, just briliant! It is easy to understand what is happening.

Also you are very good at timing. You get many things happend at the same time. I ask myself many times how do you make all these scenes?

I love the characters in cupid arrows. They have all a great and different personality. I do smiling many times when I saw this movie. This Rosa character have a very teatcher-ish look. I think her outside look matches her inside look.

Also a nice use of CC! They have a very realistic look. I love the seats you have used in the auditorium at the school. Didn't find anything to complain about when it cames til CC-use. It is all-perfect. :D

You have a nice choise of sounds and voices in your Cupid arrows. Good choice of actors and lyrics. It makes your movie very different from other voiceaudition-movies.

The idea is very creative. The story is funny and interesting. May I ask how do you get this great idea? xD
Some people die and after death they have to help people find eachother. Its very nice. A concept you should be proud of :D

I really enjoyed it the syncing and timing for all was very well, I loved it when Kat rolled her eyes it was only a small expression but it really emphisised the fact that she was cynical, there's a good contrast between all the 'arrows' as well, well done keep it up

Did it again. I can't believe I never left a review.

Well, I think this was as good as the first ep. Each episode gets better and I can't wait to see what happens in the third ep.

I loved the fact that we saw some of what Kat went through in her past, so the flashbacks were awesome and let's us know a little bit more about her.

I loved how you got the principal and teacher to end up together, that was great.

As always your camera angles were great as were the sets and the characters. I loved the whole going back to highschool thing. That was great.

Keep up the good work.
