Judges Comments:

Wow! What an incredibly simple, yet remarkable movie! I love the character experiencing the wonders of life and books through her imagination, and the spectacular use of effects brought that to life brilliantly! This one blew me away for sheer beauty alone. Visually stunning and ever-changing and an imaganative take on the theme. The "change" of the sims through the video was so seemlessly done I had to rewatch it immediately to see how I missed it! My two favorite parts are the bouncing eyes and the fireworks that were in synch with the music! Amazing all around.
 

Judges' Comments:

I loved this take on an infomercial for a Life Buddy. I thought it was incredibly funny, and the editing and cameras were superb, not to mention the terrific voice-over work and music. This was just too much…where can I get a Life Buddy? A very clever concept that is accented by the excellent narration and visually wonderful! The comedy was hilarious and I can definately see this movie doing very well upon general release to Machinima fans everywhere. Camerwork was expertly done and just everything about this movie was a treat to watch!

This was such a powerful and moving story. The music and the visuals were a perfect fit, and I loved how no matter what happened, the girl kept going on. Along with expert delivery, all I can say is incredible! It was very sweet and a joy to watch. The song choice was perfect for this video as we see her "moving forward" in her life. I grew quickly attached to her story as the director goes through the lows and highs of her life in a short amount of time. Excellent camerawork and editing make the whole movie move smoothly through time.

I liked the haunting melody of the music and the pacing of the video. This movie's story was absolutely wonderful! I thought it was very moving that the character, even though he was beaten down, could still in his worst moment try to bring something beautiful into the world. A pretty straightforward change is made - one of a man who looks downtrodden, beaten and homeless. However his art shows his change/his other side.
 

Judges Comments:

Good use of having Sim Garth Brooks sing one of his haunting and stirring songs. This was such an emotional movie to watch. It's amazing how life can be both so tragic and yet so wonderful. This movie shows all this in a very simple, but very effective, manner. Bravo, and thank you! A heartfelt video that merges machinima and live action well - Garth singing while the events shown play out on a big screen was nicely crafted! A touching tribute movie, and well put together.

It was a very comical look at a guy with an eating problem. Love the dream sequences and the narrator. A very funny movie with hilarous voice overs. I thought the whole documentary angle was very funny, and loved the whole idea of the gluttony and intervention! The custom content was awesome, and the whole thing was put together very well. Dream sequence, indeed! Great voiceover work and really funny lines and singing! The sets and sims are fantastic I think everyone will find it very difficult not to enjoy this one!

It was so great to see the fusion of other games into a sims movie, and it was done is such a spectacular way! This was just awesome, and sets a new standard for what can be accomplished in sims machinima! This was a huge movie that had so many parts to it, but still kept its focus on the theme of this contest. The filming on this one was great. This change from past through future is beautifully displayed every set and sim so gorgeous! The future world is my favorite everything just so nicely put together I just loved the ships and the scenery was amazing - an excellent entry!

A cute take on reality TV, it was a fun video. This movie is really off-the-wall funny! It reminds me a lot of those shows Nanny 911 and Supernanny, along with all those silly makeover shows. I love satire, plus now I know how to properly make a bagel and keep my kitchen nice and tidy! A cute concept for the contest - you don't want to mess with the Improvement Lady!

Who thought being a sim could be so much fun? This was very funny, and I thought it was cool to see that she could find so much delight in her new "life". I loved the twist at the benining and the surprise ending. This video was really, really cute - some observations about being a sim made me really giggle and that very last part was very funny! The best part of the movie was the way it was shot.

This was such a great story! I love the message that in order to get what you want out of life, you need to work for it, and to see that he gained enough self-confidence to make a stand. A creative use of the theme and well edited. A look into the way we have the power to change - pretty cute the way this director uses the sims type of "changes" (that we all do to our sims) to show his main character change his appearance and his life. The changing dream sequence was definately my favorite part.
