Sims 99 Advisory Ratings:

Note: Remember that some movies that were added to the Sims99 directory before this system was enabled may not have an advisory listed on their movies. In that case, be sure you read the director's description carefully.

Movies with a 'Suitable for All' rating should follow these guidelines:
- Is suitable for viewers of all ages.
- No sexually suggestive situations.
- May contain minimal cartoon, fantasy or mild violence.
- May contain infrequent use of mild language (e.g. 'damn' or 'hell').

A: Advisory
Movies listed on Sims 99 will have an Advisory if they contain any of the following:

- Use of illegal drugs. (Must be infrequent and should not be glamorised or instructional)
- Swear words. (Continued aggressive use of the strongest language is unlikely to be acceptable)
- Implied sexual activity. (No strong detail or graphic content)
- Violence and bloodshed, strong threat or menace. (The strongest gory images are unlikely to be acceptable. Violence may be strong but may not dwell on the infliction of pain or injury.)

Movies within this description cannot be shown on Sims99.
- Explicit nudity and / or graphic sexual content
- Unreserved and gratuitous gory violence.
- Glamourised drug-taking or drug-taking references which could be considered instructional.
- Any racist or other hate-related speech, images.
- Any material or treatment appears that to risk harm to individuals or, through their behaviour, to society – eg any detailed portrayal of violent or dangerous acts, or of illegal drug use, which is likely to promote the activity.
- Any sexual violence which might eroticise or endorse sexual assault.
