About Sims99.com
About Us
Sims99.com was started in January of 2005 as a way to share, rate, and review machinima made with The Sims 2, which was largely unrepresented on other sites. In June of 2005, we opened the site to all forms of machinima, and in June of 2006, we expanded to include user created flash movies, animation, live action short films, and also commercial release movies and DVD on TV, especially with an eye to ratings and reviews.

How To Join the Sims99 Team
Sims99.com is run by a team of admins, moderators, and our ambassadors (who are users dedicated to inviting new people to show their films on Sims99.com). We sometimes need new team members. These people are always selected from those active on the Sims99.com Community Forums, because the first requirement is a knowledge of the site and how we work. We generally do not accept 'applications' for volunteers, but rather select those who stand out in the community.

Contact Sims99 Here. If you are logged in, it will forward you to our helpdesk. To reach a specific admin or moderator, you may write to (name)-at-sims99.com. (Replace (name) with their forum username and -at- with @.) These should not be used to request technical help.

Help
To request technical help with the Sims99 website, visit our helpdesk. We cannot provide technical help with creating movies, specific game programs, or editing programs through our helpdesk or via email. You may, however, use our Community Forums to ask in the appropriate category, as many of our users have a great deal of experience with many film creation products.

Advertising
To enquire about placing paid advertising on Sims99, email admin-at-sims99.com (replace -at- with @). Please include the site address you wish the text link or graphic to link to, and the website URL or physical address of your business. We will not link to adult sites, gambling sites, or websites containing offensive material. Only serious enquiries will be responded to.

Sims99.com is run by a completely volunteer workforce who have donated thousands of hours to creating and maintaining this site. Your donations can help keep us going, to pay for the ever-increasing amount of bandwidth and server load requirements. Money donated is also used to provide prizes for contests.
